Description

This course serves as a general introduction to the core concepts of GIS with emphasis on geocoding and spatial analysis and its applications of spatial data and spatial analysis in general and specifically as it relates to Epidemiology, Community and population health.

Objectives

As a result of this course participants will be able to:

  • Identify basic concepts of GIS and Spatial analysis
  • Describe specific uses of spatial geographic applications in PH, health research and heath planning
